Today when I look in the mirror I like what I see, yet that hasn’t always been the case.
For the last few years I have avoided full lengths mirrors especially those in changing rooms! However, all that has changed in just 12 weeks…
I always considered myself fit and active and never really had to worry about my weight until about 2007 when I began experiencing problems with my back. I had to give up my beloved netball and even the simplest of task became difficult as I was even unable to stand without being in a great deal of pain.
Slowly the weight began to creep on and I even got asked ‘when is my baby due’!
In July this year I had a hysterectomy and spent 6 weeks not being able to do very much other than thinking. I am going to be 40 next year did I really want to be fat at 40?
No I wanted to be fit at 40!
I also had a big family wedding to look forward to in November, and didn’t want to cringe every time I saw a photo of myself. So after my six week check I decided to do something about it.
I had a friend who got into amazing shape with Anthony, so I asked her to put me in contact with him and I haven’t looked back since.
I went along for my free trial, and then took advantage of the 21 day VIP membership.
Anthony provided me with a 14 day rapid fat loss plan and the weight began falling off me. Even a flare up with my back hasn’t stopped my training; Anthony is qualified as a Lower Back Pain Specialist but more importantly, has been through it himself, so understood and could empathise with exactly what I was going through.
So he just adjusted exercises for me, and has shown me new techniques to with deal with pain.
I have learnt all about food nutrition and can even eat what I want and still lose weight!
My friends and family are amazed at my results and my number one supporter has been my son James. It has been lovely hearing him tell friends how proud he is off me; he has even come along and watched how hard I train and now thinks I am even more awesome. That kind of admiration is priceless.
So now 12 weeks later, I have reached my target weight of 9 stone, lost 4 inches of my waist and hips and am back in size 8-10.
I haven’t felt this good in years!
I can go clothes shopping and pretty much buy what I like, without having to worry if it shows off my “baby bump”! I have improved my general fitness and also greatly improved my core stability which helps with my back problem.
So now when I look in the mirror I give myself a high five, because I achieved my goal and I love the results!
