Dear Friend:

You’re busy. Speaking as a father with his own business, believe me, I get it.

After my son was born, I blew a disc in my spine. This lead me to gain a tonne of weight as I blew up like a balloon… And became more unhappy by the day.

Every time I stepped out of the shower and looked in the mirror, I grabbed a fistful of ‘love handle’ and jiggled it about wondering what had happened.

But in truth I knew what had happened.

I worked what seemed like endless hours, then came home every night and by the time I’d slumped my bum down on the sofa, I’d look at the clock and wonder where the day had gone.

I’d go days before I realised I hadn’t worked out because between running my studio and spending all-important time with my family, time had just completely got away from me.

And here was the irony… I couldn’t even find time to attend my own 45-minute Bootcamp sessions!

I knew what kind of results I could get. I see them every day and they’re what inspire me to always raise my game.

AND THAT WAS WHEN I HAD MY “EUREKA” MOMENT… TIME IS THE PROBLEM!

Once we’ve found time for work, for kids, for our home lives… For ourselves, finding just an hour to cram in a workout is not just difficult, but often impossible!

I needed to find a better way.

That’s when I went to work, taking our Bootcamp apart piece by piece. I needed to look at what worked, and what was just killing time… Then strip it right down and start again.

And then a weird thing happened. I cut the workouts down by 15 minutes, yet when we tested it, we were burning even more calories in less time… Over 32% more in fact!

So I tested it on special groups of my clients. They were really good about it actually, getting up early on a Saturday morning to try it out for me! They loved the workouts! Being busy mums, and professionals, getting more done in less time was a huge bonus for them.

But then I had to put it to the acid-test, and find out what results I could get… So I tested it on myself.

I had planned to launch the new programme in 3 short months, and in 10 weeks I was presenting the results to all of my clients.

MY results…

GULP!

Now don’t get me wrong, I was over the moon with the results so far. My abs were starting to come through, my arms and shoulders were lean and defined, and I could even see the vein running down my bicep… What can I say, I’m a man! We care about the vein!

But I was presenting a new programme to the people that matter to me the most. People who were waiting in anticipation to see what it could do. So I was still nervous as hell…

So exactly one week before I was due to launch the new programme, I pulled up my big-boy pants, and although I was practically shaking when I hit the ‘go’ button and presented these exact photos to my members…

I SPENT THE NEXT HOUR GLUED TO MY PHONE LIKE A TEENAGER…

I was repeatedly refreshing my Facebook app. Then as the congratulations and praise came in… I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

The new workouts were a success. They had approval from my clients. So I finally did the one thing that terrified me the most. I finally pulled the plug…

AFTER NEARLY FIVE YEARS, I FINALLY CLOSED THE DOORS ON BOOTCAMP.

The decision came with a heavy heart, but, truth be told, it’s something I’d been wrestling with for a while. My recent experience only cemented the fact for me.

The truth is, Bootcamp died several years ago, but we powered on with it like a dog with a bone.

You see, “Bootcamp” outside of the military refers to an “Intensive, immersive programme to get results quickly”.

So in terms of a fat-loss or transformation camp, that would mean a complete programme of fat-loss specific workouts, eating plans, lifestyle coaching, nutrition coaching, group support… Like I said, a complete programme.

And that’s what we’ve always done.

But for a few years now, people have been putting on workouts that include a few squats, pushups, and planks, or anything they can use to create a military connection to piggy back on the term “Bootcamp”.

You can just drop-in to free “Bootcamps” in local parks, or nip down to your local leisure centre and join in a “Bootcamp” workout on an ad-hoc basis.

But of course all of those things are the opposite of what a Bootcamp programme is. An “Intensive, immersive programme to get results quickly”.

Without everything else that makes the programme complete, it’s just a workout.

That’s not what we do.

And at the same time, over the years…

OUR PROGRAMME HAS BECOME EVEN MORE IMMERSIVE. EVEN MORE COMPLETE.

We’ve added more meal plans, more recipes, more workout videos you can do at home, more member workshops, even more resources.

We now have better body composition analysis, more in-depth success sessions, more opportunity for one-on-one nutrition consultations to keep moving forward.

We worked with a music producer to record new soundtracks specially to improve the intensity by interacting with and becoming part of our workouts, not just be background music.

Although we’ll still be staying firmly embedded in our roots, our new workout structure has been developed to work you harder and get you even better fat loss and body toning results with less time investment.

In short, “Bootcamp” as it’s used nowadays is just not descriptive of what we do any more. So that Saturday afternoon that I closed the door behind me as I left the studio, I closed the door on Bootcamp too. And then Monday Morning saw the dawn of our new programme:
