Spotlight Sunday – Nicola Wright! “I would like to have abs before reaching 50!”

This is the picture that did it (on the left)… I had to do something about my body. OK, I admit it was a particularly bad shot, however the ‘White Stuff’ dress worn here was definitely too small and most definitely shifted from ‘funky’ to ‘frumpy’ in a shot!!

I’d been suffering with anaemia for a good few years too, was eating bad foods and drinking alcohol.  Alcohol has always been a part of my life from quite a young age and although the drinking had reduced significantly since the birth of my daughter 9 years ago, the weekends became wine drinking time and there were no limits.  Add barbecues, weddings and christenings over the summer of 2015 and I had ballooned to 150lbs – 20 pounds over where I wanted to be!

Nicola LostI had heard a friend rave about her Personal Trainer at PW Physique and Fitness a few years ago and seen great results and the fantastic photo shoot she was rewarded with. So I finally contacted Anthony Punshon and joined the ‘Lose 5 pounds of fat in 2-weeks’ challenge. I succeeded and lost 6lbs… And the transition wasn’t too painful either!

I was hooked and took the next 6-week challenge. I was eating healthily 6 times a day, drinking 3-4 litres of water daily and alcohol became a distant friend of mine. I didn’t once crave it, want it or have it and weight was falling off. The 45 minute book camp three times per week plus 20 minute home workout we had in our Member’s Inner Circle website twice a week helped tone the muscles which were becoming defined.

It all paid off! Not only did I lose the weight I wanted, but I came second in the challenge winning 6 whole months Bootcamp membership!

Another amazing factor was when receiving the results of a recent blood test – I couldn’t believe it, my blood levels were normal with no iron deficiencies – in short, goodbye anaemia!

I did start the challenge with a personal  note, “I would like to have abs before reaching 50” and in this picture, my abdominal muscles can definitely be seen! It is definitely working progress and I have continued to maintain my weight and tone up further leaving me feeling great, healthy and confident.
